Hi, my name is Kumiko and I’m a type A mind in a type B body. I’m a creative, but I also plan ahead for any situation. My first software experience was with Illustrator, and you could say it was love at first sight. Photoshop is great, but I’m mesmerized by vectors and the way they allow for flexibility and efficiency when resizing while preserving the quality.
So I’m a bit of geek for design programs, but I love what I do. And I must use the best tools to do the best job for my clients. For me, that’s Illustrator... and a little InDesign mixed in it.
Born and raised in Japan, my family taught me that respect is the most important thing you can earn. I took that wisdom with me when I moved to the U.S. by myself at age 18 and worked incredibly hard to earn the respect from the people around me. It wasn’t easy to learn the language, but I always tackle challenges head on.
